Freshly Painted

Sunday, September 10, 2006

I had mentioned that I was working on painting my kids' bedrooms [and the adventures that ensued].

Well, I finished the boys attic bedroom, and I think it turned out great. It's nice and bright and clean now. Their walls were in rough shape, so I had lots of patching and sanding to do. Because of that and all the angles, etc. it took me about 40 hours to actually complete. On Monday we have a carpet-guy coming to give us a quote on carpeting their stairwell [and their room too - we'll see].

Samantha's room turned out amazing. Even though we had to strip wallpaper [never fun] and patch the walls a bit, the subtle green looks awesome: feminine, modern, clean, very nice.

Click here if you want to see some pictures of the rooms.
